Chinese Lantern Flowers

We had a small gathering last weekend for a harvest dinner to raise funds for Earth, Art and Agriculture project. So fun to check in with neighbors and celebrate the earth's bounty. Fran dropped by Chinese lantern flowers that she cut from her garden. I cleaned off the foliage and strung it across our patio, it made things so festive and was simple to do and is still looking fresh today. Hard to believe it's October already!

Lavender Pillows for Palace

The palace store kindly commissioned me to make my lavender and flaxseed eye pillows for them and gave me the most beautiful Japanese boro fabric to use. There are so many amazing things in the Palace store, thank you Charlotte for asking me to make these for you.

Morning Glory

I'm a little obsessed with this wall of morning glory flowers right now. It's just so beautiful. There are more than 1000 species of convolvulaceae. Always a favorite annual and better in a public garden than my own. They are very invasive. The sweet thing about them is how open and bright they are during the day and in the evening they close their petals tightly. The band Oasis wrote a song about them called 'what's the story morning glory' good question! Hope your week is off to a great beginning and thanks for stopping by.
