This little book by Hilary Walden has several homey recipes for everything from chamomile facial shrubs to floral water. These rose petals that my neighbor kindly brought me from our community rose garden are in the making to be rose water for ironing. This is what you'll need: Fill a bowl with fresh or dried petals of your choice and cover with boiling water. Let it cool slightly and add 1 table spoon of alcohol or vodka to 4 cups of of water. Cover and let it cool completely. Strain the petals from water and pour into glass bottles. It already has a wonderful aroma and I've just started the process. Hope your week is off to a wonderful beginning. Happy gardening.
