Black cherry cobbler. 15/52
What you'll need: 1 cup cherries pitted, 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon butter.
After you have pitted the cherries and cut them into smaller pieces, put them in a blender for 10 seconds, twice. It makes the fruit juicy. Set aside.
In a bowl combine all dry ingredients, add milk and mix well.
Warm your oven to bake at 350, place 1 tablespoon of butter in a baking dish and put in the warming oven to melt the butter. After it melts, remove from the oven and add the batter pouring in the center of dish. Then add the cherries to the center of the batter. Your oven should be ready. Bake cobbler for (about 45 minutes). It will be slightly sticky as it's a cobbler and not a cake. My southern gramdmother made this when we were children and it's still a favorite. This is also yummy with ice cream. Enjoy!
