Initial Gardens

I once designed a garden for a client and we used his initial as the main theme for his garden. It was quite beautiful to look down upon from his balcony. Here's an example of a garden with that same theme. I think I found this image in Real Simple mag., if you've seen it somewhere else, please correct me. I've had difficultly posting images due to typepad's new format. Thanks for being patient and happy gardening. TnSc0007dc02

Marie Claire

Thanks for reading this week. I have some wonderful gardenrooms to share over the weekend with you. In the meantime, I love this photo from Marie Claire mag. I found it on a design blog and would love to give credit for it, let me know if it's yours. The purple flowers are lavatera, or commonly known as tree mallow. Oops, the purple flowers are actually petunias. Thanks Laurel.

Flowers For A White Garden

These flowers are for a garden with a white theme. For the ground cover between stones I chose erodium, hydrangea as a shrub, jasmine polyanthum for the vines, and santolina for the sunny areas. The bottom photo is of a garden I planted in San Francisco. Sc00018b7f_2

Gardens & Terraces

This image from cote maison wowed me with it's lovliness. I frequently plant buxus sempervirens suffruticosa commonly known as boxwood in containers. The dwarf variety is also great as a border. cote maison photography by Jules Reno

Down to Earth

These gardens are a beautiful example of a seventeenth-century French Chateau's fashionable formality. Now planted with modern flowers and shrubs, making it natural looking while keeping the classic lines. photography by Le Scanff-Mayer, British House & Garden.Sc00370cdd

Rustic Gardening

These photos are from the current issue of Country Living. I am drawn to the simplicity of the barn, where the owner hosts summer dinners and the rustic country garden. photography by lucas allen Sc0005de17
