For part of the weekend I tidied up and staged a garden around a lovely house. It rained for half of the day Saturday but when the Sun came out in the afternoon, everything seemed to shine !
we planted hostas, ferns, grasses, and candy tuft in the front. we mulched and put down more rock around the house and planted pears along the back fence then powerwashed the wood decks. just the right amount of sprucing up. good luck john & larissa, hope your lovely home sells fast!
Loving all the outside here.. hope your weekend is great !

My cousin Teri and her husband live on five acres of land. There are lots of chickens, a nice big garden planted with many things to eat and a swimming pool. We were there this past weekend enjoying great company and delicious food. I didn't realize that 'okra' was such a pretty plant, it's in the mallow family and the flowers are white and lovely. Teri prepares it perfectly, which is no small feat..
~ thanks ya'll. we had a wonderful time ! okra recipes here. images.iphone photos
I'll be absent for a week, mostly family stuff and my cousin's memorial on Saturday. While I'm away I'll gather myself and prepare some fun things for Summer gardening and lots of photographs of the South East. In the meantime here are a few of my favorite reads to check out while I'm away ~
