One of my favorite flowers is lily of the valley. This garden in my neighborhood has it growing everywhere in the Spring.. can't wait to see it again. Careful planting it if you have children or pets, as it's very poisonous.

Lily of the valley poisoning was a plot surprise in last season's final episode of AMC's "Breaking Bad"......
And I just ordered a dozen pre-chilled pips for indoor forcing - an extravagance here in the temperate SF Bay Area.
Cannot wait for the fragrance!

In case of my sudden death, the plan at work is to place me in the basement cooler until lily of the valley is in bloom, and then and only then, bury me.
