While on our road trip recently we stopped in the quaint town of Blue Ridge and stayed at the Aska Lodge. SO wonderful ~ the site is askalodge.net, having trouble linking lately need to fix that ! I'm teaching a children's gardening workshop today at Plant It Earth on Divisadero and Grove Street in San Francisco, and we're making terrariums, so fun.. I took these photos yesterday at another cool spot called the General Store on Judah Street. Really great natural products from local artists. Walking around the city in the morning was so much fun. I most definitely loved the 'eye candy' and listening to the local musicians play. We stopped in famous Cafe Du Monde for a cafe au lait and beignet (french donuts), delicious! A lot of the flora was on the top floor of these amazing little houses in the French Quarter, hence my looking upwards. Almost every terrace had some sort of outdoor space set up to take in the ambiance. Hope you enjoy the photos and thanks for reading gardenrooms.
Traveling through New Orleans today and stopping in the garden district overnight.. so excited to see the architecture there. I hope to take photos of a few of the gardens.. stay tuned! images cote sud.
